
The traditional Chinese medicine treatment using moxa, or mugwort herb, is once again becoming fashionable.
No matter how busy she is, a 43-year-old Beijing-based small business owner frequently goes to Guo Ai Tang, a moxibustion centre close to the woman's home.
Xi, who diminishes to give her full name, established the each week schedule early on this year when seeking traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) therapy to help relieve pain caused by a three-year-old mammary glands hyperplasia - a benign, often drastic enlargement with the mammary glands.

"The idea of a surgical procedure had been repellant and I recalled that while I was a kid, my grandmother used to have moxibustion when that she fell into ill," Xi says.
